Outdoor Activities

In The Lake District and Eden Valley

The classic activity in The Lake District is walking, but there are so many other things you can do, whether you are experienced in the outdoors or want to try it for the first time.

Ghyll Scrambling with Eden Outdoor Adventures

Eden Outdoor Adventures

Offers a wide range of activites – snowwalking, ghyll scrambling, canoeing, Blue Badge guided walks and more – and Ian and Melanie are happy to tailor the activities to your level and ability. Combinations are also possible, i.e. canoe across Ullswater, go for a Blue Badge guided walk and then end up Ghyll Scrambling. Or have a BBQ on a beach, and then canoe back in the moonlight… very atmospheric and romantic!

Rookin House

There is a lot to do here. They organise horse riding in the beautiful landscape or a range of activities like reverse steering, archery, and quad bike treks.
