The classic activity in The Lake District is walking, but there are so many other things you can do, whether you are experienced in the outdoors or want to try it for the first time.

Hiking High

If you are new to walking or want to challenge yourself Hiking High might be able to help you. They offer many different guided walks, especially around Helvellyn and Ullswater. Their ethos is "To empower people from all backgrounds and all abilities to prosper and enjoy the wonderful outdoors", which we very much agree with.

Rookin House

There is a lot to do here. They organise horse riding in the beautiful landscape or a range of activities like reverse steering, archery, and quad bike treks.
